In this
course you will learn how to paint a portrait using oil paints. Our focus will
be setting a correct facial structure in the beginning, by drawing some
sketches. Then we will proceed with the paint, creating realistic skin tones
and learning the importance and roles of lights and shadows in painting. What’s
exciting about this course is that we will have a living model posing and we
will be able to observe and recreate not only their physical appearance but
also the specifics in their face and posture that makes them unique.
If you have little or no experience in painting in
general, painting a portrait or drawing, this course is for you. If you have
some experience in these but want to develop your skills further, you are also
welcome to join and gain from the benefits of painting a live model.
You need to bring your own materials for the course. You need to have old
clothes while painting because oil paints make stains. A list of materials will
be sent out to you shortly before the course starts. The model cost is paid by
participants and the course is taught in English.
I'm educated in teaching arts with specialization in
oil painting and portrait. My teaching experience spreads across different age
groups - from kindergarten children to adults. I tailor my teaching to
everyone's specific needs, so I can help you learn realistic painting and
drawing, as well as discover and develop your own path and style as an
artist.
In addition to being an artist and teacher, I'm an UX/UI designer and
crafter.
